EXTENDED EVENING HOURS AT DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM \ ARE THEY WORTH IT?

Our third day at Walt Disney World this Fall brought us to Disney's Animal Kingdom. Once again, we purchased Genie plus and I started stacking lightning lanes at 7am. We arrived at the park close to 3pm. The park closed at 7pm that evening, however, this was the first evening of extended evening hours for Deluxe Resort guests, so we could stay until 9pm.

We were also able to waitlist for Nomad Lounge and were called within 30 minutes. Nomad Lounge is one of our favorite places to eat on property. The pork ribs are amazing and everything on the menu can be made gluten free (even the churros). I also got my favorite drink there, the Tempting Tigress.

All in all, it was a great day. Genie plus was beneficial for some things, but not necessary for others. We don't regret purchasing it, but it may not be necessary on days with extended evening hours.
